Baseball/T-ballYouth RecreationDASH Sports Summer Baseball/T-Ball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key elements of throwing, fielding/catching, batting, and baserunning will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage on the final day. Athletes should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove (spikes and bats are optional). Beat the Heat IP Butter Chicken & Homemade NaanCooking/Food/CulinaryKeep your kitchen cool while creating a big, bold flavor! In this hands-on at-home cook-along, you’ll make Chef Tess’ version of the incredible Butter Chicken—rich, warmly spiced, and melt-in-your-mouth tender thanks to the magic of the Instant Pot® (or any other electric multi-cooker). You will also create soft, pillowy homemade naan to go with it. This class is perfect for learning how to create a quick, nutritious, economical summer meal while building your culinary confidence and repertoire. Handy Instant Pot® tips and tricks for use and care will also be shared! Come join the fun! Equipment Needs: Instant Pot® or any other electric multi-cooker. Stand mixer with dough hook attachment is recommended for the naan. If a stand mixer is not available, dough can be made by hand. More info will be provided in the ingredient list packet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ While cooking-along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. This class will take place on Zoom, free online software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. The instructor’s recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. CABS: Child & Baby-Sitting Safety ClassYouth EnrichmentThe Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from the American Safety and Health Institute provides everything you need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The students will receive their certification card and instructions to access a digital copy of the Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Student book at the end of class. Topics cover everything from getting started with your business to collaborating with parents and children, safety, safe sleep practices, caregiving, emergencies, and basic first aid. CABS will help set you up for babysitting success. Students must be present for the entire class and complete the core learning objectives to receive certification valid for two years. Dinosaur StompDrop-Off Classes for Children Ages 3 to 5 Years OldFor children ages 3 - 5 years old (must be potty trained - no pull ups) Ready for some ‘roaring’ fun? Your child will get to spend the week being a paleontologist! They will explore fossils, create dinosaur crafts, read stories, and sing songs while interacting with other kids their own age. Drone RacingYouth EnrichmentStudents will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they can optionally purchase during the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running.
