Adult Volleyball LeagueAdult ActivitiesYou have seen it on social media and now learn for yourself! WCS is THE most versatile dance in the world: Top 40, Pop, Country, Rick, Classic Rock, R&B, Soul, Disco, Rap, Hip Hop, Blues, Latin, virtually any music! WCS is a pedestrian dance and if you can walk you can dance! Students will learn the basics to enjoy the fastest growing social dance in the world. The focus will be on learning the 3 foundation patterns of Passes, Pushes and Whips. We will also cover the basic concepts of musicality, musical timing and dancing with confidence. WCS is an all-ages dance that has a wonderful focus on social interaction, flexibility, communication and FUN! Upon completion, the class will have a voluntary trip to attend a WCS social dance on a Friday night sponsored by local Twin Cities WCS communities. Instructors hope dancers will look to enjoy WCS “in the wild” and class participants meet at local area live music events to enjoy dancing socially. Wear any slick bottom shoes (Ladies no high heels over 1’ & tennis shoes are okay, but not optimal) The instructor wants to see if Tuesday nights work better or Thursday nights work better. So when signing up please sign up for the night class that works best for you. The one that has the most people will be the class that runs. (So if there are more people signed up for the Tuesday night class, then the Thursday night class will be cancelled. Family MattersSeparating Adult/Child ClassesFor children ages birth to 5 years old, not yet in kindergarten and their family Can’t make a daytime class? Well, this is the class for you. The first half of the class will be parent/child interaction time. This includes fun games, art, circle time and so much more! During the second half, children will stay in the room with a licensed Early Childhood Teacher while the parents share joys and concerns with other parents. The discussion group is led by a licensed Parent Educator. Parents will be given the opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and discuss common topics that you come across when raising children. Sibling care is offered FREE of charge. Join Chef Tess in one of her newest hands-on cook-along experiences where you will learn how to make delicate pasta dough from scratch, then roll, fill and shape your own tortellini with scratch made fillings. We’ll begin by preparing a rich, creamy three-cheese filling which becomes the foundation for two delicious variations: a savory mushroom and 3-cheese filling bursting with umami (with the option to substitute spinach for the mushrooms), and a hearty Italian sausage and 3-cheese filling for those who prefer a more robust option. Chef Tess will guide you through the process of stuffing and shaping the tortellini step-by-step then cooking them to perfection with a velvety scratch-made cream sauce for a truly authentic experience.
